This is to update you on progress with our programs in the next few months. Unusually, we have several meetings ahead pretty much decided!
The following events are as follows:
1. Saturday 19th October (13:00-16:30): Title: Contextualizing English as a Lingua Franca: Assumptions, Aspirations and Affirmations. Jointly with Aichi University’s Institute for Research in Humanities and Social Sciences
2. Sunday 24th November (13:30-16:00): Donna M. Brinton Title: Dispelling Pronunciation Myths: Best Practices for Teachers. Donna is a visiting professor at Soka University and will be coming as part of JALT’s Four Corners’ Program, which we have been involved with every year recently.
3. Sunday 15th December (13:30-16:00 plus bonenkai): Andy Nonaka Title: Application of Presentation Training to Japanese Culture. Andy is Chair of the Communication Skills Association.
4. Sunday 26th January 2020 (13:30-16:00): Michael Stout. Title: Workshop on Classroom Research for Teachers. Michael is teaching at Hakuoh University in Tottori Prefecture.
